I developed Conversations for Life and Legacy™ to help us answer important questions in our lives. We all struggle with serious questions.  “Why am I here?” and “How do I make meaning out of being here?” are two big ones.  Through my own journey, I found that our Jewish tradition is a treasure trove of wisdom that guides us as we seek the answers to these questions. Among the great jewels found along the way, I discovered the value in having important conversations with the people I loved and treasured – the meaningful sharing of thoughts and emotions, aspirations and practical learning – and leveraging the value inherent in those conversations as a personal guide as I continued to live my life. As a result of the impact that conversations had on my life, I founded Conversations for Life and Legacy™, so that you, too, can share your conversations, your story, and your legacy. After a thirty-year career in business, I embarked on a second career and entered rabbinical school.  I decided to become a rabbi because I found that Jewish wisdom helped me make meaning in my life particularly in the areas of relationships, and that sharing this with others would be an extraordinary gift.  Leaving everything familiar behind was a leap of faith, but it was the right thing to do. As I reflected on my journey and what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, the answer became clear. I packed the things that I wanted to keep and gave away the rest as I prepared to move to Israel.  My dad drove me to the airport.  As we began to say goodbye, I gave him a big hug.  He looked at me and said, “I am proud of you.”  Instead of a 50-year-old man responding, the little boy in me could only hold him tighter.  Hearing those words was profoundly moving and in that extraordinary moment, a seed for Conversations for Life and Legacy™  was planted. Too many of us do not have moments like mine.  Often after someone is gone, we are plagued with what we might have said if we had made time for that important conversation.  Conversations for Life and Legacy™  is devoted to helping people share what needs to be said before we can no longer say it. David Levin was ordained a rabbi in 2013.  Rabbi Levin is a Fellow with Rabbis Without Borders, a cross-denominational group of rabbis focused on serving the modern community.  He is a member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (Reform Rabbis), Ohala (Renewal Rabbis), and the National Association of Jewish Chaplains.  Rabbi Levin also serves on boards supporting American, Jewish and Israeli interests.  Rabbi Levin lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife Naomi.
